Feeling amazing in your new extensions? GREAT! But now we gotta go a little further to share how to care for your extensions in your day-to-day life. Here are care tips from the best hair extension salon in Chicago. Trust us, you will thank us later.
cleanse.
+ Brush hair to remove any tangles and to prevent matting BEFORE showering.
+ Use only shampoo + conditioner that is recommended by your extension artist for optimal results.
+ Use a moisture masque twice a month.
+ Do not scrub vigorously. We suggest a double shampoo to fully clean the hair.
+ Apply conditioner evenly from mids to ends.. For even distribution and to seal down the cuticle.
+ Rinse well to avoid shampoo, conditioner build up.
brush & blow dry.
+ Using your extension brush, , start from the ends of your hair and work your way up.
+ Once you reach the top of the weft, stop brushing.
+ We suggest clipping everything up except your natural hair underneath your bottom row, and
start your brushing with that.
- drop down your bottom row and brush that out.
- drop out your natural hair in between the two rows, and brush that out.
- drop out your top row and brush that out.
- drop out your natural that is on top to complete the brushing process.
+ Apply the recommended leave in detangler and heat protection.
+ Power dry your hair 80% of the way. No tugging at the extensions with a brush. Use only your
hands and fingers.
+ For a faster blow dry, section out each row and power dry them separately.
+ You can use a round brush or a paddle brush and a small amount of tension to smooth your
hair and the extensions, the last 20% of your blowdry.
+ Use your curling iron or flat iron to finish your look to your desire. Appropriate heat should be
used, never super high heat, hotter isn’t always better.

+ Sleep on a silk pillowcase.
+ Never go to bed with wet hair.
